Our bakery history originated in 1927 in a small bakery in Kondinin, from the current owner’s grandfather. The family was always on the go owning and running a bakery in every small town they lived in. In 1935 the family moved to Bridgetown then to Northam in 1937 but for only a year. After that, the family settled in Cunderdin until 1972.
While in Cunderdin, the family also owned a bakery in Meckering from 1966. Unfortunately it was brought down by the 1968 earthquake.
In 1972 the family packed up and moved to the big smoke hoping for bigger and better things. The Bake-Inn Pie Shop was established, in Plaza Arcade in the heart of the Perth CBD. From 1972 - 1998 some great memories were created. Busy Easter weekends with Nanna on the front counter and grandchildren asleep out the back on flour bags and Perth Royal Show entries winning 1st place for the best sausage roll.
The family also owned Tasty Bake at Garden City Shopping Centre, from 1992 - 1997.
Now and for over 20 years the family run Trackside Bakery baking award winning pies, sausage rolls and pasties. Still using the same secret recipes passed down through generations of family.
